Last updated: 15 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Benchscope Ltd ("Benchscope", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you use our website, directory, map, jobs board, and related services (the "Service").

Company number: 16664850
Privacy contact: privacy@benchscope.com
2. What personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

- Billing and transaction information, such as billing contact details, invoice records, payment status, purchase history and related correspondence.
- Usage and device data (e.g. pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device details, referrers). This may be collected via cookies or similar technologies.

We do not intentionally collect special category personal data through the Service. Please do not submit sensitive personal data, confidential information or unnecessary personal data in forms, messages or uploaded documents. If such information is submitted, we may process it only as necessary to review, remove, manage or respond to the submission.
3. Company listings
Company listings may include publicly available business information such as company name, website, location, and category. Where listings include personal data (for example, a named contact), that information is typically provided by the company, a third party, or sourced from public materials.
4. Claims, amendments and verification
Where a person claims a company page, requests amendments, submits profile content or provides verification information, we may keep a record of the request, including the submitter's contact details, company affiliation, evidence provided, requested changes, review status and related correspondence.
We use this information to assess requests, verify authority, maintain directory accuracy, prevent misuse and protect the integrity of Benchscope. We may contact the submitter if we need more information, if a request is approved or rejected, or if we need to clarify or manage the submitted information.
If another representative of the relevant company asks about a claim, verification or amendment, we may share limited information about the request, such as the fact that it was made, that it was submitted using an email address associated with the company's domain, the nature of the changes requested and the status of the review. We do not normally disclose the individual submitter's name, direct contact details, evidence documents or internal correspondence unless we have a lawful basis to do so, such as consent, legal obligation, suspected misuse, fraud, impersonation, security concerns or the need to resolve a genuine authority dispute.
5. Sources of personal data
We may obtain business information and limited business contact information from public sources, company websites, professional networking sites, public registries (such as Companies House), event pages, ecosystem directories, company submissions, users, third parties and direct correspondence. Where personal data is obtained from public sources rather than directly from the individual, we will provide this privacy notice to the individual where required by applicable law.
