Carbometrics

Carbometrics Limited is a supramolecular chemistry biotech developing synthetic Glucose Binding Molecules (GBMs) for use in continuous glucose monitoring sensors and other diagnostic applications.

The GBM platform uses a precisely engineered small-molecule scaffold to selectively bind glucose with high affinity and specificity, enabling interference-free sensing across a range of transduction modalities including optical and electrochemical signal detection.

The technology originates from two decades of research at the University of Bristol.
