Its commercial divisions supply semen and embryos from elite cattle and genetically superior breeding pigs to producers globally.
Its R&D programme applies CRISPR-based precision breeding to improve disease resistance and animal welfare; in April 2025 the FDA approved its PRRS-resistant gene-edited pig for the US food supply, the first such approval for a gene-edited food animal in the US.
