Glox Therapeutics

Glox Therapeutics is a Scottish biotech developing a pipeline of engineered protein bacteriocins as precision antibiotics against drug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Spun out of the Universities of Glasgow and Oxford in 2023, the company uses a proprietary bacteriocin engineering platform to produce narrow-spectrum therapeutics designed to selectively eradicate AMR pathogens.

Its pipeline targets hospital-acquired pneumonia, bloodstream infections and lung infections in people with cystic fibrosis.
