Carbohydrate binding molecules targeting the tumour glycome in cancer

Omideon is a Scottish preclinical biotechnology company applying multivalent carbohydrate binding molecule (mCBM) technology to oncology.

Spun out from Pneumagen Limited by demerger in 2020, the company uses genetic engineering to develop mCBMs with high affinity for tumour-associated terminal glycans.

Its lead candidate, OMI-DG1, is a first-in-class mCBM in development for ovarian cancer and colorectal cancer, with preclinical in vivo proof of concept demonstrated for ovarian cancer.
