SGS Vitrology is a biosafety testing contract research organisation operating from a 3,100m² GLP and GMP-accredited facility in Glasgow.
The site serves as SGS's global centre of excellence for biosafety, providing cell bank characterisation, viral safety testing, mycoplasma detection, lot release testing, and next-generation sequencing for biologics, vaccines, and cell and gene therapy products.
The Glasgow facility participated in the batch testing and release of over one billion COVID-19 vaccine doses.
